First of all welcome to my Callanetics Fan blog dedicated to the amazing exercise program developed by Callan Pinckney. You may be here because you want to lose those extra pounds you have gained this year, you want to tone up and get fit for that Summer holiday you have booked. Or like me, you want a new way of life that incorporates healthy living and have a great body. Callanetics is not a ‘how to loose weight fast’ site but will guide you to a healthier looking body and lifestyle. So, if you are thinking does Callanetics work? Read on and find out.
A litle bit about me and why I have created this website. Well, In my early 20′s I had a very muscular and fit body that I used to show off as much as humanly possible (yes I am a show off!). Anyway I digress. Over the years, due to work and life in general, things had started to slip. Gone had my six pack that I were so proud of. Gone were those pecs and biceps my friends were SO jelous of. My body had hit rock bottom. To make things worse I was about to hit 30.
About 3 months ago I decided enough was enough and scoured the Internet (I just love Google) for quick and easy ways to get fit. Having been bombarded by all the cr#p adverts trying to sell me everything from ‘lose weight fast’ tablets to god knows what else. I discovered a lesser known exercise style called Callanetics. I was instantly drawn to the positive reiews and recommendations from people who had done some of the exercises or classes. Digging deaper into the depths of the Internet I began to uncover something that I instinctivly knew would work for me.
My first task was to find a good book to learn some of the Callanetics exercise techniques. I managed to find Callan Pinckney’s own book ‘CALLANETICS – 10 Years Younger in 10 Hours’. The thing that I really liked about this book was the down to earth approach adopted by Callan Pinckney. Her way of explaining each exercise is very precise and is very easy for the beginner to follow. The Callanetics before and after pictures in the book were very motivating and inspirring. The pictures are all untouched so what you see is the actual results of the Callanetics exercises. Another good thing about Callanetics is that results are all measured in hours. It is well known that after just one hour you begin You also don’t need to do the exercises every day. Just a few times a week.
So, Having read the book a few times my journey began. Did it work for me I hear you all asking. YES it did. I was very sceptical of the ‘results in an hour’ claims but I have to say after my first hours exercise I felt the best I had felt for years. Every muscle in my body felt firm and not spungy (sorry thats the only way I can decribe it). And even the day after I could feel it still working. I was amazed…
Today, after only 3 months, I am doing just two hours a week and my body is back to how it was when I was in my early 20′s. I feel much better and confident in myself that I feel motivated to do other things in my life such as watch my diet and go to the gym.
I decided to put this website together because I wanted to provide you guys some of the basic Callanetics exercises so you can try for yourself. During my search for information about Callanetics, I noticed very little online information about Callanetics. So, I decided to create a resource for all of you so you ddon’t have to search for hours like I had to. This website is my own personal journey to a new body using the Callanetics Exercises program.
